STARLON® material properties

Extruded polystyrene with closed cellular structure:
  • Heat and sound insulation
  • Dampens the sound of footsteps
  • Levels minor irregularities
  • Does not soak up water
  • Hygienic and environment friendly
  • Odorless
  • Description
Thermo-acoustic insulation layer from extruded polystyrene suitable for lying under laminate, wooden and other types of floor covers. Its main features are heat and sound insulation, the ability to level off minor surface irregularities, high load resistance, and high absorption of the sound of footsteps.
    Laying
  • Individual strips are laid side-by-side on an even and dry surface, the groove facing down
  • the floor is laid directly onto the strips
  • avoid walking on surfaces covered with the polystyrene without the floor cover
  • to prevent water soaking from the subsoil, use an additional layer of PE-sheet
